Blue-and-white-wizards: The Sheffield Wednesday Dream Team (Mainstream Sport)
The last 20 years of Sheffield Wednesday's history have seen remarkable change, a sensational transformation from Third Division outfit to ever-present members of the Premiership. Here, in "Blue-and-White Wizards", 11 men take us on an exclusive trip through some of the extraordinary moments since the 1980s. Revelations abound from the men who contributed to the cause in their own way - the wizardry of Curran and Waddle; the artistry of Sheridan and Nilsson; and the passion of Lyons and Pearson. All tell tales of life behind the scenes at Hillsborough. Then there are the local lads, Hirst and Sterland, the goals of Chapman and the record-breaking achievements of Hodge and Worthington, but no history of Sheffield Wednesday is complete without a look at the managers, and two of the game's greatest names, Jack Charlton and Ron Atkinson, are also included in Daniel Gordon's dream team.

The Men Who Made Sheffield Wednesday FC (Men Who Made)
Since Sheffield Wednesday FC was formed in 1867, somewhere in the region of 1,000 players have been registered with the club. This book recalls the careers and achievements of each and every one of them - from club stalwarts to those who made just a handful of first-team appearances. Anyone who supported the club in the 1930s will remember the skills of Jack Brown, Mark Hooper and Walter Millership. Whilst fans from the 1940s and '50s cheered on the likes of Redfern Froggatt, Derek Dooley, Jackie Sewell and Dennis Woodhead, those from the 1960s and '70s enthused over Johnny Fantham, Willie Henderson, Ron Springett and Peter Swan. There are, of course, also today's supporters who, it must be said, haven't had a great deal to shout about in recent years but have stood by the club through thick and thin and have had the pleasure of watching some excellent players in action. All these are featured in this book. Featuring biographies, statistics and selected illustrations, this book is both a fascinating read and an essential point of reference.

The Romance of the (Sheffield) Wednesday, 1867-1926 (Desert Island Football Histories)
This is a reproduction of the book which came out in 1926 or 1927. The original is a sort after thing and worth a lot of money. It is a brilliant history of The Wednesday Football Club. And much better than Kieth Farnsworths books. Obviously sparling was contempoary with most of what he writes about and he recieved help from many of the big men from the club as well.
Because of it's age, it reads totally different from any history written today. It has a sympathetic and affectionate edge to it.
